-
There a host of
other special events in 2009 check the
CCS website and click on Special Events, the
Area
1 website and the
USPSA website for more info. Each website is
updated regularly as information becomes available.
-
The NW Multi-gun Challenge will be July
11-12 at ARPC. That is the normal weekend for a regular Albany match,
however, the CCS championships is the following weekend (18-19) at ARPC.
So there is no regular USPSA match at Albany in July.
-
Mike McCarter is cooking up some special
matches for the coming year. Mike’s special matches are always fun.
The Plastic Gun Championships is August 22nd.
-
Tri-County Gun
Club will be hosting the 2nd Annual NW Regional Steel Shoot. This is a
Steel Challenge match using the same stages at the World Championship Steel
Match in Piru, CA. This is a great opportunity to tune up for the big
match, compare yourself to the best in the world or just come out and have
fun shooting steel. The match is July 25-26, 2009. Applications are on the
web at www.ussteelshoot.com.
There
will be a small prize table and lunch will be provided each day you
shoot. Competitors can shoot either day, or both days if they want to
shoot multiple divisions. For our hard core “Steel Master” competitors
(Open, Limited and .22) you will need to shoot two Divisions on one day.
Send Chuck an email if you have any questions.

- Tri-County
Gun Club will also be hosting our first NRA LE 3-Gun Competition on August
29, 2009. This competition is only open to Law Enforcement officers (NRA’s
choice not ours). However we do still need RO’s to work the match.
This is a great opportunity to come out and see the direction NRA is taking
with 3-Gun. This type of competition is new to the NRA and hopefully
they will expand and open it up to non LEO type folks in the next year or
two. In the meantime, let’s use this match as a way to hook some new
shooters and get them coming to USPSA as well. If you’re interested in
being an RO for this match please send Chuck an email at
chuck@andersontactical.com . The details are yet to be worked out, but
likely there will be some benefits for being an RO.
