What’s New: 

• Shaun Hescock will be passing out the first quarter points pins at the Albany match in January provided the weather it doesn't snow.
   
• Also from Shaun: I've been working diligently to put together IDPA matches at Tri-County for 2010.  I am currently needing people who would be interested in becoming SO's to officiate at these matches.  If I can't get the required number of people, 10 minimum, then I can't do it.  I need a few more people who will step forward.  I don't have a date for the training class as of yet, but once I have 10 that will commit, then I will get a class scheduled with the IDPA Area 1 director.  So far, I have the following 6 brave souls.  If you're interested, then please send me an email.  I will put you on the list and I will keep you apprised of what the class schedule will be.  Thank you very much and I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season. 
   
• Two items from Bend:

      1.    First IPSC match of the year will be April 10th. Because of low participation out here in Bend our IPSC matches are usually five stages. We set up three bays and re-set two of the stages for a total of five stage events. Consequently, there are no shoot-throughs, but it works for our shooters.

      2.    CPS is now in its steel match season, which goes through March. Steel matches are fired the first and third Saturdays starting at 10:00 AM. The stages are varied with one or two Speed Steel-type events and and what we call IPSC steel. It's fun!

   

• No points matches until January
   
• Points standings as of Nov are on the website under Points Info.
• CCS Ballots have been sent out the deadline for return is December 31st.  The return so far has been sparse.  Get those ballots in, folks.

• NRA Action Pistol (Bianchi Cup) will be starting at Tri-county next year also, watch for more info soon.
   
• Regarding the 2010 Points Race.  You can still compete for awards even if you do not want to go to Nationals.  Remember also the CCS Championship match is worth two points matches.  The affidavit is on the website.  Please print one off and send it in even if you don't want a slot at nationals.  Additionally, we can only send ballots for the section elections to people who have affiliated  with the section.  The affidavit is the way to affiliate.

Training:

 Note any of the classes below may be cancelled if a conflict with a major event occurs.  

• The Safety Manual is posted on the website.  Look under CCS Business.
• The first Saturday of each month at Albany is a new USPSA shooters training. You must call ahead (541-619-0038). Next class is Feb 6.
• The first Saturday of each month at Douglas Ridge there is a USPSA style training match.  The match includes a safety session before the match and coaching during the match.  Next match is Jan 2.
• The first Saturday of each month at TCGC is the certification course which meets the CCS requirement for training as well as the TCGC requirement for members to shoot unaccompanied in the pistol pits.  No more classes until Feb, but that class is full, so March is the next open class.  Registration for the class is handled by email only at the following address: trico.ipsc@gmail.com
